Causes. Bacteria or viruses can cause a middle ear infection: Bacteria, like Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae (non-typeable) are the two most common bacteria causing middle ear infection. Viruses, like those that cause colds can cause middle ear infections.
Avoid contact with allergens or irritants that trigger your nasal allergies. Keep your nose as free and clear as possible by taking your allergy medicines – including topical nasal steroid sprays – and using a nasal saline rinse.

Nosebleeds may be caused by infection, injury, allergic reaction, nose picking or an object being pushed into the nostril. Another name for nosebleed is epistaxis. Bleeding from the nose is common in children and is usually not serious. Seek medical attention if nosebleeds are severe, frequent or prolonged.
