Hernia is one of the most common surgical procedure performed by General surgeons. Over the past two decades there has been a steady emergence of minimal access techniques for the treatment of inguinal and ventral hernias. In the past few years abdominal wall reconstruction for complex ventral hernias is making rapid strides.
Today Rajasthan Hernia Society & Saket Hospital Jaipur organised a state level conference “Total Hernia Solutions” at Hotel Ramada Jaipur. Padam Shri Dr. P.K. Chowbey (Max Hospital, New Delhi ) was chief guest and presided clinical discussions. Dr. Chowbey said “It is essential that surgeons treating patients with hernias keep abreast with the rapidly expanding surgical techniques & knowledge in this field”.
Newly elected President of Rajasthan Hernia Society Dr. Jitendra Chawla (Head of General & Minimal Access Surgery – Saket Hospital) informed that group of doctors discussed on the latest advances in the field of Hernia and newer techniques available for the surgeons.
On closing remarks Director of Saket Hospital, Jaipur Dr. Praveen Manglunia said that the latest techniques of Hernia abdomen wall reconstruction will lead speedy recovery and less morbidity of the patient. In longer run this technique may help in cost reduction.
Total 150+ General and Laparoscopic Surgeons from entire India participated in this conference.
